4. Kitchen ___ Paint cabinets/frame if very outdated/worn, but still serviceable, in warm neutral colour .
___ Replace countertop if chipped and scratched, and if warranted - cabinets still serviceable.
___ Check all cabinet hinges, handles and knobs, replace if warranted, or update, or tighten.
___ Replace worn out stainless steel sink.

5. Laundry Room ___ Replace laundry tub if stained beyond bleaching.
___ Invest in a new faucet set if leaking or outdated.
___ Replace that stained or worn out folding table countertop with a new one.
___ Paint outdated wood cupboards in a warm neutral colour.
___ Replace or scrub with SOS pads and re-seal with quality wax that worn-out linoleum.
6. Bathrooms ___ Replace countertop and backsplash if chipped or dated.
___ Replace worn vanity countertop or repaint with new linoleum paint.
___ Paint wood cupboards that are dated or worn in a warm, neutral colour.
___ Check all cabinet hinges, handles and knobs, replace, tighten or update.
___ Replace sink insert if chipped or stained beyond bleaching.
___ Re-glaze chipped bathtub or replace if worn beyond repair.
___ Replace stained or dated toilets.
___ Replace chipped or worn faucet.
___ Clean or redo mildewed or dirty grout, repair messy grout lines.

7. Basement
___ Secure handrail.
___ Be sure furnace, water heater, humidifier is in good working order.
___ Have your seasonal inspections done now - keep receipts to show your prospective buyer.

___ Vaccuum floor, remove cobwebs from joints, window frames, straighten stored items.
8. Cleaning ___ All Kitchen Appliances, inside and out and clean underneath as much as possible.
___ All Sinks and taps – stains removed.
___ All Flooring: as necessary, clean carpets , repair tile grout, wax or refinish hardwoods.
___ All Baseboards, wash and dry off to prevent stains.
___ Wash all Switch plates and doorframes – remove those finger smudges.

___ Light fixtures, bulbs and lamps – take down overhead plates, clean out the insects.

___ Dust, wash, and polish Shelving.
___ Polish mirrors. Dust all picture frames.
___ Go over walls and wall paper to remove finger mark smudges.
___ Polish wood furniture, vacuum upholstered furniture and have cleaned if necessary.
